You MUST have your own transportation!
We recommend flying into Anchorage and driving our beautiful state.
From Anchorage (4-4.5 hrs. north) Take the Glenn Hwy (Route 1) north to the George Parks Hwy (Route 3) north and drive until you reach mile 224, and we are one the East or right side of the highway. Enjoy the beautiful drive and make sure to stop at mile 135 for great southern views of Denali and a bathroom rest stop.
From Fairbanks (2-2.5 hrs. south) Take the George Parks Hwy (Route 3) south towards Anchorage and drive until you reach mile 224 and we are on the east or left side of the highway.
Car Rental Options:
You will not need a 4x4 rental unless you want to travel on gravel roads like the Denali Hwy, check with your rental company.
Costco Travel for great rates.
Alaska 4x4 Rentals-Great option if you plan to drive the Denali Highway.
Taking the Train?
Make sure to book in advance as their inventory is limited.
They can also book your train ticket and save you 5%

There are three stores right off the the highway as you drive to McKinley Creekside Cabins, one convenience type one mile north of the park entrance and one in Healy-All have food and spirits.
