General Room Information
We strive to provide the ideal setting for independent travelers and small groups looking for reasonably priced accommodations that are close to Denali National Park (just 13 miles south), but away from the crowded entrance. All of our rooms and cabins are tastefully decorated with an “Alaskan” feel, are clean and comfortable, located either on the creek or nestled in the woods. We also have new hotel-style rooms in the “Terrace” building that have lovely creek and mountain views. All rooms and cabins are AAA approved, have private bathrooms with showers, alarm clocks, coffee pots, linens, towels, are non-smoking (ash cans are provided outside the front door), and have easy accessibility. Some rooms/cabins include a microwave and a small refrigerator. Enjoy the serenity of your stay with no in-room phones or TV’s to interrupt your Denali experience.

Three bedrooms, two full bath and custom kitchen with stainless steel appliances and all the essentials The cozy living room has a wood stove, cable TV, DVD player w/movies, Wi-Fi, and telephone. There is a BBQ gas grill on the deck and a small chest freezer.

1st Floor-Two bedrooms - One with (2) queen beds, and a small bedroom with (1) double/full sized bed.
The full bathroom has a washer and dryer for your convenience.
2nd Floor - The master suite-(1) King bed, cable TV & DVD player, luxury bath with antique claw foot tub, separate tile & glass shower and amazing panoramic mountain views!

Located at Mile 224.5, just 13 miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park, approx. one block north of McKinley Creekside Cabins & Cafe’. Relax and enjoy the mountain views while sipping a drink with family/friends on the deck after a day in the park, challenge someone to a game of horse shoes or toast smore’s by the campfire. Come in the fall/winter and be amazed by the spectacular show given by the Northern Lights, explore the park or use as a home base for snow machining in the Cantwell area. However you decide to spend your day, we have no doubt you will enjoy the setting, location and comforts of the “Carlo House”. Owned and operated by McKinley Creekside Cabins & Café.

• We recommend you rent a car, for cost effectiveness, freedom, and flexibility. Distances in Alaska are great, so plan on 2-3 days at each destination, or you will be spending all your time in your vehicle. Denali is approx. 4 hours north of Anchorage (8 hours by rail) and 3 hours south of Fairbanks (6 hours by rail).
• We DO NOT provide transportation to/from the train depot and there is no taxi or shuttle to/from the depot to our property.
• We recommend a 2-3 night stay in Denali for a complete park experience and due to the distance to/from other areas.
• Making reservations in advance is suggested due to high demand and a short visitor season.
• A one night deposit or 50% on stays of 4 or more nights is required to secure your room reservation. Add 7% room tax to the listed rates.
• We accept Visa, Mastercard or Discover
• A 14 day notice is required for a refund and all no-shows and early checkouts are charged full amount of reservation.
