Get ready for some adventure! Whether a novice or expert ATVer, this tour will be a memorable ride in the scenic Alaskan wilderness on your own Single or Side by Side ATV. Ride on several terrain types - coal mining tails, rocky creek beds, hill climbing, water and mud crossings. Total tour covers about 10 miles, with approx. 1 ½ hours on the trails.  All drivers must have a drivers license, any others must be passangers on the Rhino.

Times: 8 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm, 7 pm - offered daily 
Length: 2 1/2 hours from pick-up to drop-off. Approx. 10 miles round trip.

DENALI ATV TRAILBLAZER

Get out and ride in the Alaskan Boreal Forest! Traveling at speeds up to 30 mph, maneuver through the taiga to picturesque panoramas of the Alaska Range. Observe glacial moraines and historic archaeological dig sites while navigating tree rutted trails, mountain-fed creek beds, and boggy tundra. Spend more time riding on the trail than any other Denali area off-road adventure tour. 

You may learn how to make fireweed tea, leave with a blueberry smile, or even chat about survival. Periodic stops are made for photography and wildlife sightings. Tackle the terrain in a single-rider ATV or share the thrill in a multi-passenger side-by-side ATV. Trails are challenging for all experience levels. Total tour covers about 20 miles with 2½ hours on the trails.

Midnight Sun ATV Adventure

Looking for something truly Alaskan? Take a ride during the height of the Midnight Sun and experience just how light it is at midnight. View the unique and memorable Midnight Sun from two breathtaking overlooks as it creates a rainbow of sunset colors. Enjoy a snack and hot chocolate while the sun is dipping below the horizon.

Black Diamond ATV Treasure Hunt & Backcountry BBQ dining!

Experience a fantastic adventure back in the wilderness hunting Alaskan treasure! Feel exhilarated while working together to find hidden views, secret sights, quarts and granite rocks, coal, and much more! Leave a treasure in the geo-cache and pick one out for yourself to take home!

This trip takes you back on old coal mining trails and spills you out onto the Dry Creek River Bed where Athabascan Indian artifacts have been found in archaeological digs! You will have a great adventure strategizing, planning, thinking, and just having some 

down home fun while traveling past local vegetation, looking for real Alaskan Wildlife, soaking in the breath taking mountain scenery, learning some of the local history and Alaskan Culture, and exploring the geography.

You will be navigating the trails with GPS and maps and each mini mystery will get you closer to finding a rustic pavilion where a full service camp style meal is served to satisfy any adventurer’s appetite!

No experience necessary although basic driving skills are required. You must have a valid drivers license with you and present it when filling out the release of liability form. You must be at least 16 years of age and also pass our safety training course.

Stampede Wilderness ATV & ARGO Tours

Experience the Alaskan Denali tundra on the Stampede Wilderness ARGO Tour. Look out over Eight Mile Lake, a tundra jewel surrounded by wildflowers. Zoom in to watch wildlife in the valley using provided binoculars or tripod-mounted spotting scopes. Enjoy the view from the exclusive comfort of our Pavilion and Viewing Gallery on the ridge that we call Flat Top.

The tour sets out from our exclusive Pavilion & Viewing Gallery at Flat Top, to explore the Stampede trail out toward the famous Savage and Teklanika Rivers. The terrain provides great riding for the tough and versatile, yet tundra-friendly, 6-wheeled Argos. During the tour, there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos or to peer through the binoculars provided with each ATV. The entire tour is narrated by our friendly and knowledgeable guides.

  • ARGO guest

We will also set high-powered spotting scopes on tripods so you can get up-close and personal views of any wildlife in the area. Near the end, we return to the Pavilion at Flat top for a relaxing lunch, with hot and cold beverages available. There, you’ll also have an opportunity to stroll along the tundra. Weather is not an issue, we will keep you warm and dry.

  • We provide shuttle service and a helmet with integrated audio.
  • Goggles, gloves, facemasks, rain gear.
  • Tripod-mounted spotting scopes, and binoculars are also on hand for our customers’ comfort and pleasure.
  • A variety of hot & cold beverages are available.
  • All guests are required to wear closed-toe shoes and to sign a liability waiver.
  • Minimum guests’ age is 7 years.
  • Guests under 18 years of age require signed parental permission.
  • ATV drivers must be least 16 years old.
  • We recommend that our guests wear appropriately layered clothing.
  • This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back problems or limited mobility.
