- Tours can be prepaid or paid upon check in at the hotel, with the exception of PARK tours & Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre which require full payment at the time the tour is booked and confirmed; cancellations are noted and specific for each park tour option.
- REFUNDS for all other excursions (unless noted): A 72+ hr notice prior to tour is required to cancel and be refunded. Denali has a short 120 days season and vendors need time to resell the space - otherwise you are charged in full.

1. *Tour to Kantishna-Narrated
Hop on board a private motor coach bus and experience 92 miles of breath-taking Alaskan beauty and adventure. This fully narrated park tour travels the entire length of the Park road with knowledgeable Guide/Drivers which share the biology, geology, and history of the region with you. Have your cameras ready to capture majestic Mt. McKinley (aka Denali- Athabascan for “The Great One” or “The High One”) and other pristine landscapes. View bears, caribou, fox, moose, wolves, sheep and birds in their natural habitat.
Spend a couple of hours and enjoy lunch at the exclusive Kantishna Roadhouse, just past Wonder Lake, the jewel of Denali, on the banks of Moose Creek. There you will discover a piece of Alaska's gold rush history, and the warm hospitality of the Roadhouse staff as you enjoy a tasty soup and sandwich served in the dining area. After lunch you'll be invited to try your luck at panning for gold in Moose Creek, or join other guests watching an Alaskan sled dog demonstration. If you prefer, you can stretch your legs on the nature hike or just relax on the deck of the lodge and immerse yourself in the scenery.

2.*Denali Park Day Excursion
The Denali Park Day Excursion is the best Alaska wilderness day-trip to experience Denali National Park from both the air and the ground for the economical, independent traveler who is flexible with time. You will be flown in from the Denali Park entrance into Kantishna, and you'll ride the park shuttle bus (green bus/bench seating) back to the entrance. You will be flown through the heart of Denali National Park, giving you spectacular scenic views! Choose the 35-minute direct flight or the 55-minute scenic fly-by, which follows the spine of the magnificent Alaska Range, traverses the expansive Muldrow Glacier and passes the stunning north face of Mt. McKinley. During your 5-6 hour bus ride back to the park entrance, you'll experience Denali's landscape, flora and fauna, and while this transport is not narrated, you may have the opportunity to view and photograph the wildlife and natural habitat of this 6 million acre National Park and Preserve. Please be aware that many of the guests on these shuttles have already made the 6-hour journey to Kantishna, so stops may be less frequent on the way back to the park entrance. *The shuttle bus is not sold as a narrated tour; however it is our experience that the drivers are experienced and know/share history of the park, but no guarantees. If learning the natural history is important to you we recommend the Tour to Kantishna or the Tundra Wilderness tour. Space is limited to 15 seats per day so book early and tour must be prepaid.

3. *Kantishna Shuttle Bus with Flight Seeing Tour
This trip combines the park shuttle bus to Kantishna with a 55 min. scenic flight seeing tour back to the park entrance. Guest needs to book round trip shuttle transportation (green school bus/bench seating-not sold as a narrated tour) to Kantishna at www.nps.gov/dena at either 7:45am or 8:30am and we will combine it with a 55 min flight tour from Kantishna back to the park entrance. You will have round trip shuttle transportation regardless, as all flights are weather dependent, refunds for flight given accordingly. Trip departs the park entrance between 7:45am-8:30am, arriving in Kantishna 1:45pm-2:30pm, flight departs Kantishna 3pm

4. Tundra Wilderness Tour - Narrated
Tour is fully narrated by the driver, who is a certified naturalist/guide travels 53 miles inside the Park to Toklat River. The tour will take between 7-8 hours.
- Passengers must remain on the bus for the duration of the tour, except for rest stops every hour to hour and a half. Tour travels along an unpaved road and all tours go rain or shine-rain does not keep the wildlife indoors!
- Two general departure times: AM which departs between 5am-8:30am and the PM tour which departs between 1:30pm and 4pm. You can request a specific time, but no guarantees.
- Please remember that you must pick up their TOUR tickets the night before for the printed departure time. Pick up Tickets at the Wilderness Access Center (WAC) or from the McKinley Village Hotel (Mile 232 George Parks Hwy)-we will give you directions at check in.
- Tours will depart from the Wilderness Access Center.
BUS TYPE: TWT Tour bus is a modified school bus with motor coach seating. This is also the ONLY tour to have drop-down screens. There are eight total screens where if wildlife is in the area, the wildlife will be displayed on the screen in a "zoomed in mode." Maximum amount of people on a TWT tour bus would be 48-52.
The Box Snack: Reindeer Sausage, Cheese, Roll, Bag of chips, carrots, trail mix, condiments, bottle of water.
NO VEGAN OR VEGATARIAN OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE. *This is a light snack; if you want a heartier lunch or vegetarian option you can order from the Creekside Café the night before and can be picked up as early as 6am. For earlier departures pick up the night before-most cabins/room have refrigerators.

5. Windows Into Wilderness-Narrated with Hike - Visitors travel 30 miles of park road to Teklanika. This tour stops at Mile 12, Mountain Vista Trailhead, where you’ll join a guide for a ¾ mile walk. You’ll learn about the sub-arctic ecosystem and the ways in which Athabascans, following the wisdom of their ancestors, continue to live off the land despite its unforgiving environment. The cultural interpreter and your Driver/Naturalist are Certified Interpretive Guides and the science educator’s partner with National Park Service through the Murie Science and Learning Center. The Windows Into Wilderness Tour includes a boxed snack and water. Two trips daily: 6:30am & 8am. Book early and must be prepaid. *Note: There will be standing and walking for up to 90 minutes on gravel-packed trail.

6. The Park Shuttle Bus
Park Service Shuttle Bus provides an informal and inexpensive way to tour the park. They have short and all day options (6, 8, 11, & 12hr.). Not sold as a narrated tour, this is a great option for the independent traveler and those with backcountry hiking experience that want to get their “boots on the ground”. This option you must book directly at www.nps.gov/dena.
- You have 6, 8, 11, or 12 hr. trip options. If you want to go to Wonder Lake or Kantishna - 11-12 hrs. I recommend the fully narrated Kantishna Wilderness Trails Tour by motor coach; it may be a better option for this long trip. *This is a great option for those that want a shorter trip, don't want the expense of a narrated tour. Book early and must be prepaid.

7. Natural History Tour - Narrated
Focusing on the rich natural and cultural history of the park, this 4 ½ to 5 hour tour travels to Primrose Ridge at mile 17 (FYI-you can drive the first 15 miles of the park road in your own vehicle). Several interpretive stops enhance the experience, beginning with a stop at the Wilderness Access Center for a viewing of the film “Across Time and Tundra”, which depicts early visitor experiences within the same area visited by Denali Natural History Tour visitors! A stop at the still-used ranger cabin, Savage Cabin provides a living history glimpse of the folks who might have used the cabin at one time. At the Primrose turnaround point, you will experience a memorable Alaskan Native presentation that will enlighten you with how the land has been used for nearly 10,000 years! A snack and beverages are provided. Wheelchair accessible buses are available, and all stops are wheelchair accessible. Morning and afternoon tours are available. Tour Times and Pickup Locations are assigned approximately one week prior to actual tour date. Your actual pickup location may vary, please reconfirm at your Hotel Front Desk upon arrival.

8. *Terry Boyd Photo Lesson/Tour
The Alaska Range provides some of the most spectacular & inspiring scenery on earth. Make the most of your time by allowing amazing local photographer Terry Boyd to help you get in the right place for the best photos possible. Enjoy the luxury of being able to locate, stop, compose, and capture your photo at a pace that is comfortable for you. Terry is aiming his trip for photo enthusiast and new found shutter bugs who want to better understand how to get more out of their camera and have the opportunity to have all the time they want to compose images without feeling rushed.
Tours will be weather permitting and refunds given accordingly. Trips will be called off if the weather is horrible (extreme low cloud cover, driving rain) in all directions with no chance of clearing. Soft rainy days can be excellent for macro photography as the light is soft and winds are usually calm. There are extra full size professional tripods for guests to use as well as access to different filters that can be extremely useful balancing exposures and increasing color saturation.

9. Denali Highway Jeep Excursion
The Denali Highway was once the gateway to Denali National Park. This 135 mile rough gravel highway contains some of the most spectacular scenery in all of Alaska. Views of Mt. McKinley, the Alaska Range and its glaciers (weather permitting) will dominate your 120 mile round trip excursion. If you don’t see any wildlife, you’re not looking hard enough!
Not only is the Denali Highway Jeep Excursion an alternative to crowded bus trips into the Park, this tour allows access to a historic highway prohibited by most rental vehicle companies. Your 4-door, 4x4 Jeep Wrangler hugs the dirt road, smoothly traversing rough terrain. You may even choose to take the top off! Take the wheel and follow your guide on a spectacular off-road journey on the Stampede trail. Your guides will lead you along some very primitive roadway providing you with plenty of bumps and dips and sways. There will be several stops to switch drivers. Interactive two-way radios allow your guide to interpret the area. You will stop for a break at a wilderness camp where you can enjoy a small “wilderness" cooked meal.

11. Denali Sightseeing Safari-Monster Truck Tour
This trip was designed with the idea of taking people into the back country of Denali, away from crowds, buses and dusty roads.

24. Interpretive Hike - This tour is for the more fit travelers. While still a narrated tour, the interpretive hike covers more ground; climbs into the forest and alpine, and explores the glacier topology in depth. The extra time on the ground gives the group a chance to see the forested area near the Nenana River, the brushy but wildlife rich sub-alpine tundra, and the gorgeous views and highly adapted vegetation of the alpine tundra. Like our walking tour it is offered twice daily, at 7:30am and 5pm

26. Heli Hiking Tour - The Alaskan tundra is one of the most esoteric and breathtaking landforms on the planet – like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. This trip begins with an awe-inspiring flight in a helicopter landing you in a remote alpine wilderness setting. Once there, you’ll take a guided hike around the truly unique and spectacular environment. Jeff, the naturalist guide who has been hiking in the tundra for twenty years, will point out the flora and fauna on the way. There’s no telling what kinds of animals you might see, but you are guaranteed to experience nature in a way that you won’t soon forget.

This is a family run business & their "staff" are friends & family. You will travel by heated jet boat 30 miles upriver into the wilderness to the camp where they make their living. 28. Stampede Wilderness ARGO Tour - Experience the Alaskan Denali tundra on the Stampede Wilderness ARGO Tour. Look out over Eight Mile Lake, a tundra jewel surrounded by wildflowers. Zoom in to watch wildlife in the valley using provided binoculars or tripod-mounted spotting scopes. Get to know the light-footed mobility of our Argo Frontier-580 amphibious ATVs. Enjoy the view from the exclusive comfort of our Pavilion and Viewing Gallery on the ridge that we call Flat Top. Use high powered spotting scopes to view giant Glacial Erratics while enjoying a picnic lunch. You might see caribou, moose, bear, wolf, or ptarmigan along the way or even Denali, weather permitting.
Early and late season guests might see northern lights as space weather paints the sub-arctic sky. Three guided tours daily along the Stampede Trail surrounded by Denali National Park. Weather is NOT an issue on the Stampede Wilderness Tour, we’ll keep you warm and dry.
The Stampede Wilderness Tour takes about 4 1/2 hours, from pick-up to drop-off. After a comprehensive briefing, the donning of your safety gear and becoming comfortable with your Argo ATV, the tour sets out from our exclusive Pavilion & Viewing Gallery at Flat Top, to explore the Stampede trail out toward the famous Savage and Teklanika Rivers. The terrain provides great riding on the tough and versatile, yet tundra-friendly, 6-wheeled Argos. During the tour, there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos or to peer through the binoculars provided with each ATV. The entire tour is narrated by our friendly and knowledgeable guides. Your guides will also set high-powered spotting scopes on tripods so you can get up-close and personal views of any wildlife in the area. Near the end, we return to the Pavilion at Flat top for a relaxing lunch, with hot and cold beverages available. There, you’ll also have an opportunity to stroll along the tundra.

32. Black Diamond ATV Treasure Hunt with Lunch - Experience a fantastic adventure back in the wilderness hunting Alaskan treasure! Feel exhilarated while working together to find hidden views, secret sights, quarts and granite rocks, coal, and much more! Leave a treasure in the geo-cache and pick one out for yourself to take home!
This trip takes you back on old coal mining trails and spills you out onto the Dry Creek River Bed where Athabascan Indian artifacts have been found in archaeological digs! You will have a great adventure strategizing, planning, thinking, and just having some down home fun while traveling past local vegetation, looking for real Alaskan Wildlife, soaking in the breath taking mountain scenery, learning some of the local history and Alaskan Culture, and exploring the geography.

41. Fishing for Arctic Grayling - You will travel our area’s small streams and wade fish for our native Arctic Grayling, the northernmost member of the Trout family. Our light weight gear is ideal for catch and release fishing with barbless hooks. Some walking over uneven terrain is involved in order to bank or wade fish into moving water. No fly fishing experience is needed however you must be able to walk up to a half mile during the trip. An Alaska fishing license is required and for sale at our headquarters. All fishing gear, flies, rain jacket and hip waders are included. We suggest bringing a pair of good wool or acrylic socks and sunglasses.

With the ground being frozen all year long, sometimes it is hard to even push your tee into the ground. The fairways are full of fun hazards and the greens are real grass but are hard to put on. The course was built in 1995 right on top of the Alaskan Tundra with little to no Top Soil! The surrounding mountains tower over your game and wildflowers spring up all over the wild course. - Chena Indian Village Walking Tour-Be immersed in frontier living first hand with a guided walking tour of an Athabascan Indian village. You’ll see an Athabascan Indian village with cabins made of spruce logs, a cache used for storing supplies, a primitive spruce bark hut and fur pelts. Our guides will explain how the wolf, fox, martin and beaver were used to provide food and protection in the harsh Arctic climate. - Alaska @ 40 Below Experience-Winter in Fairbanks, where it often drops to 40 degrees below zero or more, can be downright brutal. With “Alaska at 40 Below”, you’ll step into our specially designed subzero chamber where we keep it a brisk, you guessed it, 40 degrees below zero. 44. Gold Dredge 8 - Your two-hour tour will take you into the heart of the gold fields of the Tanana Valley where you will feel the history come alive!
- Tanana Valley Railroad-Your adventure begins at Gold Dredge 8 with a ride on a replica of the Tanana Valley Railroad near some of the original rail routes. Once aboard our narrow gauge railroad, you will enjoy a short narrated journey to the dredge. Your regular conductor and commentator is Earl Hughes, who provides festive music along your journey.
- Trans Alaska Pipeline-Your first stop at Gold Dredge 8 is an up-close view of the 48-inch Trans Alaska Pipeline, a marvel of modern engineering and part of the largest industry in Alaska. The Trans Alaska Pipeline is responsible for approximately 15% of the nation’s domestic oil production. At this stop you may view informational displays and you will hear commentary regarding the history and function of the pipeline. You will walk underneath the pipeline to reach the next stop of your tour! Make sure to snap a picture of your loved ones ‘holding up’ the pipeline!
- Gold Dredge 8-Described as either a floating workhorse or a mechanical gold pan, Gold Dredge 8 extracted millions of ounces of gold from the frozen Alaskan ground. Today, Gold Dredge 8 National Historic District serves as a monument to the hard working miners who built Fairbanks. The train will stop beside the dredge and miners will give a sluice box demonstration and talk about mining in Alaska. Later in the tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the dredge and feel the gold history come alive!
